PPF brands we use
Why Choose PPF?
Paint Protection Film (PPF) is the most effective way to preserve your vehicle’s paintwork. It acts as a virtually invisible shield, protecting against stone chips, scratches, swirl marks, bird droppings, road salt, and other environmental hazards. Unlike ceramic coatings, PPF provides actual impact resistance thanks to its thick, self-healing film. It keeps your car looking newer for longer, helps maintain resale value, and gives you peace of mind—whether you’re driving daily or storing your pride and joy.
PPF FAQs
What is PPF and how does it work?
Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a clear, polyurethane film applied to a vehicle’s painted surfaces to protect them from damage caused by road debris, stone chips, bug splatter, minor abrasions, and harsh weather conditions. It works by creating a durable, sacrificial layer between your car’s paint and the environment. Most modern PPFs are self-healing, meaning light scratches and swirl marks will disappear when heat (sunlight or warm water) is applied.
Will the film affect the colour or appearance of my paintwork?
No — modern PPF is optically clear, preserving the look of your paint. In fact, it may enhance gloss and depth. There are also stealth/matte PPFs available for satin or matte finishes, which protect without altering the desired aesthetic. The PPF we use at Wrap Brothers has built-in hydrophobic and self-healing top coats.
What maintenance does PPF require after installation?
- Wait 48–72 hours before washing your car.
- Use pH-neutral shampoos and soft mitts.
- Avoid automatic car washes with brushes.
- Don’t use waxes containing petroleum distillates.
Proper care will extend the lifespan and performance of your film.
Can PPF be applied to used cars or only new vehicles?
PPF can be applied to both new and used vehicles. However, used vehicles must undergo paint correction or decontamination before installation to ensure the surface is clean, smooth, and defect-free. Our team will evaluate the paint and recommend any prep work needed.
